What do Yoga and Podcasting have in common?

Before the Word ‘Podcast’
Sometimes life takes you in directions you never imagined. This was the case with me when I started Drishti Point in 2005, a radio show about yoga. At that time, I had never heard the word ‘podcast’ and I never would have imagined how much of my life and work would involve this new medium.

In 2008, Drishti Point began recording our broadcasts and making them available on-line and thus, begun my career in podcasting. Since 2005, I have had the privilege in interviewing fascinating and interesting personalities including Deva Premal, Geshe Michael Roach, Neale Donald Walsh, Dr. Christiane Northrup and hundreds of others.

Coming Home to Hollyhock
In 2015, I was invited to teach at Hollyhock. It was a dream come true. From the very first day that I stepped onto the land, I had a vision that I would return year after year.  I turned that vision into reality when I proposed a podcast series featuring the presenters of Hollyhock and thus was born- Hollyhock Talks.

Podcast Blossoms with Banyen Books
This year, I am excited and honored to partner with Banyen Books and Sound to produce In Conversation: a series of insightful dialogues with writers, artists, and spiritual teachers. This year’s series will include an interview with Gabor Mate, Caroline Myss, Pico Iver, and many more.

More Podcasts?
You’d think with all this podcasting, I’d have enough of podcasts but the truth is, I love podcasting. When the opportunity came to interview podcasts for Naturopathic Doctor- Dr. Tonia Winchester, I couldn’t say no. Dr. Tonia is a fun-loving, creative, and playful Naturopath Extraordinaire. Tonic Podcast is a series of podcasts about getting you healthy, happy and doing what you love.

So, if you have ever wondered what yoga and podcasting have in common, now you know!
