Open Door Yoga @ Main/14

Saturdays 8:30am-9:45am
Saturdays 10:15am- 11:30am

This is a gentle Hatha class that includes supine poses to gently stretch back muscles, range of motion joint movement (for shoulders, hips, and spine), and a gentle yoga flow that includes poses to strengthen and tone back muscles, core muscles, legs and arms.  The main focus of this class is relaxation of the nervous system through deep breathing, gentle movements for the joints, and stretching and opening the body through movement and breath.

Yoga for Healthy Joints
Healthy joints are critical to moving with ease and grace. Learn about the major joints and movements to help to increase circulation and lubrication to keep our joints healthy and flexible. By the end of this 8-week series, you will be able to practice a yoga sequence that targets all major muscle groups and joints. 

Candlelight Yoga for Relaxation
Learning how to breathe with the diaphragm is critical to the practice of yoga. This 8-week series starts with the basics- the anatomy of breathing, the relaxation response in the nervous system and specific poses and breathing techniques that can be used to manage stress and evoke a feeling of relaxation, ease, and contentment.
