Home Practice

Farah’s Flow I and II are recordings I made when I first started teaching over 10 years ago. I was teaching at Just Ladies Fitness in Kits and West Van and the women who had been coming to my class regularly requested a CD so they could continue to pratice yoga when they went away.   These recordings are dedicated to them. Each recording is an hour long. I hope you enjoy practicing at home or while on vacation.

My primary yoga practice is mantra.  Eight years ago, I received ‘mantra diksha‘ and was blessed with a Guru Mantra.  Practicing mantra has totally transformed my mind. It has given me focus and clarity and has provided me the tools to un-do many of the thought habits that I inherited from my ancestors and culture and in its place re-pattern my thoughts to reflect an abundant, loving, and forgiving Universe.  If you struggle with a restless, agitated, monkey-mind, consider practicing mantra! Mantra is to the mind what asana is to the body. It is the most sophisticated yogic tool for purifying the mind and re-seeding the mind with Divinity.

Mantra and Kirtan
My favorite mantra and kirtan artists are: Deva Premal and Miten, Heidi Hirdaya, Krishna Das, Shantala, and Vancouver’s very own, Jerry Des Voignes.
